ESPN One Nacion: Finalist at Hispanicize 2016

ESPN One Nacion TV special nominated for the Tecla Award at Hispanicize 2016!  

The Hispanic Heritage Month special was produced from South Beach, Florida and aired live on ESPN and ESPN Deportes. An additional 30 minutes aired on the Fusion network. The theme of the bilingual program was PRIDE!! – in sports, family and culture.

Hispanicize is the largest annual event for Latino trendsetters and newsmakers in digital content creation, journalism, marketing, entertainment and tech entrepreneurship. The event will take place in downtown Miami’s InterContinental hotel, April 4-8, 2016.

ESPN is the proud co-sponsor of the first ever Student Project (a collaboration between NAHJ and Hispanicize) at the event where students are teamed up with veteran journalists in producing multimedia content on the event, topics discussed and the South Florida community.
Many members of ESPN including Michelle Bella, Freddy Rolon, Oscar Ramos, Mario Fraticelli, Carlos Caban and others will be at Hispanicize as guest speakers and attendees.
